My thoughts regarding finding out I have Ovarian Cancer. Today, Tuesday..is a better day. The ports don’t hurt as much as they did yesterday. I’m nervous about receiving the chemo in my body for the first time next week. However, I will do this with the hope I’ll live for many more years…If you don’t want to read ignore and I’ll be adding fun posts as well.

My grand daughter Mary and I talked about her future today, she is at a crossroads. She doesn’t know if she should go to school or get a job. During high school she took cosmetology. At first Mary was pleased with it but eventually she didn’t feel a passion for what she was doing, and she knew it was time to move on. She is now forced to reconsider her options and evaluate her life. We talked more about cosmetology and she knows it’s always there to fall back on …

When my two granddaughters came to visit yesterday, I was tired and wondering if I was up to having company. By the time they left, I was filled with joy and optimism for their futures. Thus the title of this post, hoping my two granddaughters at 18 and 19 will have a successful career or job in there future. I’m saddened for people who seem to have no one to call upon when they are depressed or in need of someone to talk too. There should be some kind of hot line, you call and say…hey, I’m alone, having a bad day and just need to chat for awhile. Hearing a voice can be assuring enough to get you through the day. We are the specie that needs human contact and support. So if you have no family it can be devastating. And sometimes you hesitate to tell friends …

When you ask yourself who your friends are what comes to mind? Are they there for you when you need them? When you’re sick and your family lives out of town what will your friends do? Will they come over and cook and check on you. Take you to the doctor if needed or run simple errands? What are their limitations in the friendship? Makes me wonder, are different kinds of friendships?
