Managing Cancer with help.

You don’t have to do this alone……

Yesterday and really all week I’ve been very sick with a cold.  It hit my throat, chest and head.  Of course, because my immune system is compromised I was sure I was going to die.   So I decided to pull out Debbie Lanes tapes she sent and see if they would help settle my nerves.

Debbie’s site    http://wisdomhypnosis.blogspot.com/

I’d have slept more then one hour at a time in over a week.  I’d been drinking tea, gargling with salt water, using lemon and honey until I craved a milkshake.  Nothing would help. I began to feel exhausted and I knew it was a good thing I had to go to the doctor this morning.  So I listened too her tapes (calming and sleeping) and I slept three hours without waking up.  I didn’t feel the anxiety and fell back to sleep and was calm for another three hours.  When I woke this morning I felt much better sleep wise.  I knew I had to visit the doctor nonetheless; yet at least I had a good night sleep.

When I arrived at the doctor this morning, one of my Chemo gang nurses, (Jacqui) took my blood, asked a few questions and said I’m requesting a script for you.   Remember what I said about these gals…nothing gets by them.  I knew she was right and I should have asked for something sooner however, I was wishing this away and we know that doesn’t happen.

The moral of this brief story is; don’t fool around if you’re not feeling well.  Don’t try to diagnose yourself.  Go to the doctor and let them tell you what your issue might be.  I’m blessed to have these women looking after me.

I want to thank

Debbie Lane

for the tapes that helped get me through the night. (Less anxiety)  I never knew much about hypnosis, although I’m thinking there is something useful in the method.  I’ll be using the tapes again tonight.  Even when you think your Mrs. I can do this myself; a little help from another voice may work.

Thank you Jacqui for noticing all was not right.  Sometime, no most times, getting through life requires more then just yourself.   Today I’m glad I have a team of friends, family, and medical professional trying to get me past this process.

My best, Dorothy

  1. Both of my parents had cancer. My mother went through chemo, but unfortunately by the time they discovered my fathers it was too late for treatment. Thanks for stopping by my new blog. That was very sweet of you!

  2. Thank you Dorothy for the wonderful testimonial. I am delighted the audios helped you. You are right, listen to your body, don’t ignore the signals it sends you or they will just become louder and more insistent.

    Blessings on your journey!

  3. Hello Debbie and Tammy, thanks for stopping by. They gave me an antibiotic and I’m feeling better today. The tapes are great used them last night again.

Tammy Cancer is an awful disease. I wish we could figure out where it really comes from.

  4. Great Post Dorothy. I too think I can go it alone sometimes and it’s nice to know that when it is all said and done, the people who know what they are doing are out there.
