This fourth of July my daughter decided it would be appropriate to renew their wedding vows during a welcome home party for Gary who recently returned from the US Marines having served four years and twice in Iraq (after all Gary wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for his parents) hence it did seem to harmonize with the celebration at their home. 

So I’m going to show you some of the over 400 pictures I took during the big day hoping you find them interesting as the farm they live on has an X race horse which Gary rides (picture shown) and is always trying to throw him off his back, chickens, a pet chipmunk, dogs, cats, and coming is a goat and who knows what else I shutter to think about what my daughter will bring home next I often imagine she should have been a vet for how she loves animals.  There’s a pond across the street where you can fish and several acres to take a long walk in filled with trees birds and all the sounds of peacefulness. Their home is an old house (over 150 years old) with a newer barn room for more animals as Sherry thinks of the next pet she may want to add to the current menagerie I constantly tease her as I wonder where all her patience came from for animals as I enjoy them however, never was able to be calm enough to take on the responsibility necessary to love and sustain them.  So take a peek at the photos and especially the family picture which is  my daughter her husband and all the kids and now their kids I forgot to count how many however, everyone was there and  you’ll be surprised as to how large this family is and still growing as Nancy is pregnant so next photo one more.

Oh I forgot the finale on Sunday, William (age 14) was running around on his dirt bike he fell had to go to the hospital in an ambulance stitches a badly sprang arm (they thought he broke it) however he seems like he’ll be alright and he’s determined to continue riding (what do we do with him)?   William has written before on this site and I’m going to request he does it again as I can’t figure out what makes a kid want to journey on these dirt bikes and four wheel drive vehicles and his thoughts might help other parents if they hear what William has to say regarding his passion for the sport.

Therefore here are some of the pictures from the wonderful party when we celebrated Gary’s safe return and a couple beginning another 22 years (at least) of marriage with all the children and grandchildren there to celebrate with them it was lovely and me I’m one happy grandma marveling at what is really important in life which is living and sharing with your family and friends.
