Cheers to you Dorthy. What a great idea to do a video post. I really enjoyed this. I agree with every word. Everyone in a family should act as a team. I was taught at a young age to be a team player with my family. Everyone always has a job to do. We have a pool to0, which we enjoy immensely. We’ve started to give our little one her own jobs after she is done swimming. Seems to be working out really well. Plus she really likes helping out. Thanks for sharing this great information.
You are absolutely right. I taught my oldest daughter that and I’m constantly reminding the younger ones to clean up after themselves when they are home, when they get out of the van, when they leave someone’s home, etc. I had a friend who would have my children over for a play date, which was great. When I would arrive to get the children I would instruct my children to go get their shoes, help her kids pick up the toys and gather their other things. She would always say, “No, don’t have them do that… I’ll do it.” It was rather frustrating because I’m trying to teach my children manners, respect and responsibility and she was letting them off the hook. Even so much as putting their shoes on for them.
An-t-way, I loved your post and I hope your daughter enforces the “rules” so that the pool will stay a place of great pleasure. Have a great weekend.
Thanks for the great comments you’ve inspired me to do my next one as planned.

i think if more people had the same morals/values/ethics that you have, the world would be a greater and happier place.
PJ thank you and I agree it’s the simple basics that make us who we are and of course the golden rule do onto others and darn if it doesn’t work.
Thanks so much for taking the time to listen to the video.
