Noah says the funniest things

butt2If your wondering why I talk about Noah so much on my blog it’s because I see him more then my other grandchildren as the others have their own lives now and we talk on the phone often instead of seeing each other although yesterday I picked up William my 14 year old and we had quality time at the big mall shopped for school clothes and had a snack before I took him back to work.    I was always content when they grew up and each began their own lives because I knew our times together would change as they grew up and I was prepared for the next stages I would experience as they headed towards becoming adults when we had our time as they grew we shared special moments made memories and our bonds continue into their new lives only different then what I have with Noah who is only six.

He visits our home a few times a month and he is a cracker jack which they usually are at his age and this weekend was no exception therefore here’s what he told me on Saturday while I was using a stomach machine to attempt to reduce my puffy belly.

“Grandma what are you doing on that machine” Noah I’m exercising my stomach so it won’t be so big he looked at me and calmly stated: “grandma it’s not your belly that big it’s your butt”

Remember, this child couldn’t love me one bit more and he never made the statement to hurt my feelings however out of the mouths of babes comes the truth and this would be no exception his observation my butt is big and he’s right thus, I’ll be focusing on making it smaller (good luck Dorothy) as I love chocolate and I started this morning by doing yoga again.   I love this child he brings out the best in me every time and now he’s even an inspiration to my improving my curvaceous body parts and I’ll let you know how I do as I hopefully reduce that part of my body.

LOL that is funny and you are right. Out of the mouths of babes.

I am using the Nintnedo Wii Active. It has a 30 day challenge and you can rest as much as you need to rest in between. It’s a very strong workout and only lasts for 30 minutes each time. You can do it in your pj’s.:)

They also have a Nintendo Fit that has a whole Yoga program. Or you can play with the Nintendo Sports with your grandchild. They have all sports including basketball, baseball, tennis, inline skating, etc.

PJ they are so precious your right there are no words for the joys they bring you.

Dee, your right I need to do squats and I’m thinking about what I need to do to get into the habit of more exercize.

Barbara, yes when I can I’m buying the Wii my sister has it and has lost some weight and she loves it. I did try my grandson’s last year playing bowling and that was really fun.

Thanks ladies I think I’ll take a picture and watch my hopeful progress thanks to my dear Noah.

    Hugs to you…

out of the mouths of babes is right. 2 of my grandsons are in their teens and they never fail to let me know all about every flaw. But, like yours it isn’t done to be mean. they simply say exactly what they see and think.

Oh yes they also think I am ancient even though I am only 52. They don’t even have a concept yet of reaching this age.

I hope the yoga helps. I commend you for doing it. I usually walk but not in these stifling hot summers. I am looking frward to the cooler temps. of autumn.

Oh my gosh, what a funny post. Kids just can’t help be honest. That’s what I love about the innocence of children. I love the honesty. Good luck with your new workout. That’s something I need to start doing too. Maybe when the weather starts to get cold again I’ll have the inspiration to start my exercise again. Thanks for stopping by.

    Hugs
    Michelle

Hi Dorothy… kids are sooo innocently honest. We have no secrets around here because lil Steffie tells everything to every stranger we meet… you just never know what she is going to say next. But your story reminded me of when Sarah was small… I used to hug her and say “I love you sooo much… you’re getting soooo big” and one day she comes up and hugs me and says “Mommy I love you soooo much… you’re getting soooo big”. I laughed soooo hard! And she was right… I was getting big…. I really needed to lose some poundage… and I still do.

    A Lil Enchanted,
