Vacations can be exhausting

Back from vacation and trying to catch upbrain

Today was my first day back to work (day job) and I’m hardly caught up more like a sinking ship however, tomorrow I should be able to clear my desk and settle down because right now my brain is filled with clutter and I can’t focus on a post worth reading though Noah is scheduled to stay over Friday and so is my step daughter Tracy and I can’t wait I miss the kids they make me laugh and forget about daily work pressures.  They’re filled with simple needs and always speak their minds which sometimes brings me to my knees laughing and right now I can’t wait until Friday to hear what’s been going on in their lives.

Our vacation was wonderful and we have great pictures to share, each day was filled with the beautiful Adirondack mountains lined with lush trees and the beginning of fall colors all of our lodgings were first class and we ate until I thought I’d burst (Isn’t that what a good vacation is)?  Then when we arrived home I met my friend Beverly from Chicago and we went to Niagara on the Lake visited wineries shopped (I have pictures) and ate again I’m convinced I gained at least five pounds I won’t weigh myself for a week or more and the weather was great we never had a bad day and when it rained it was during the night thus it seemed like we hit the jackpot for the best days of the season.

So patience while I retool my brain and decide which subject I’ll write about next as the news I’ve been watching including murder, mayhem and politics’ certainly provide things we can talk about when I post in addition I haven’t had much of a chance to speak with my daughter and I’m sure when that happens I’ll have a lot to say as my grandchildren are like a reality show in progress in fact things happen there that haven’t been on television yet so you never know what we’ll hear about from her family.

Thus I’ll focus and be back, please stay tuned as our first contest should be posted this week and I think your going to like the handmade necklace my partner crafted as one of her hobbies is jewelry making and it’s beautiful.

Stay tuned I’ll be back with more grammology stuff.

Wow, sounds like you had an amazing vacation. I feel relaxed just from reading your post. It seems like forever since the last time I took a vacation. The last major vacation we took was way back in December of 2003. I agree, I always feel exhausted when I come home from vacation, but it’s a good feeling. I can never focus to get back in the swing of things. LOL! Thanks for stopping by Dorothy. Have a great week.

Kids do make you laugh Dorothy, if only we had kept a diary of what they have said it would make up a great wonderful book of laughs. Like “Gramma why do you have a carpet on your toilet?” or “I didn’t see myself do it.”

Thanks for the comments regarding my brain since I returned; I’m up to my elbows in putting out fires because of being gone for over a week thus I’m hoping to be up to date tomorrow (hoped originally today) isn’t the road to hell paved with good intentions and tonight I’ll be writing another post.

And if David comes in tomorrow we’ll post some of our vacation pictures as we were lucky with the weather and got some great shots of the mountains and area of Lake George and Lake Placid we had so much fun. See you soon and once again I love reading your comments and I will visit your blogs as well we are just one great group of bloggers….

Glad you had such a good vacation, my dear….It certainly does take one ‘a-back’, coming home to all sorts of Life-Realities, like Workc.
I look forward to seeing pictures, too!

Your vacation sounds great! It’s always tough going back to work the first day after a vacation, isn’t it? I used to dread it –back when I was still working in an office…

I have never “retooled” my brain before. Or “tooled” it for that matter. Explains a lot. I can’t say I’m particularly excited about the necklace, but then if I was, it could well be the first signs of madness…

I’m happy you had a great vacation. What is it about vacations that drain you when you return? I’ve always felt that way when I travel during my time off. It’s worth it though.
