Our kids need to be given a direction to get it right
My daughter is trying to be less confrontational with her family and feel confident as she takes charge of their behavior and assumes responsibility for what she expects from her children and they are sensing her determination and they’re surprised at how secure mom has become (they can’t make her feel guilty) when she insists they follow her rules and is consistent and firm in what she requires them to do.
Therefore,  the other day we joked while talking on …

Teen’s safe sex, in and out of love what’s it mean?
I wrote this post in March of this year..just found it hope you like it…

I’m writing a series regarding the different kinds of love we experience hoping I’ll understand what our young teens think and feel about falling in and out of love today.
Everywhere we look it seems our children are becoming more provocative and I’m hoping to establish common ground between parents that are willing to discuss the subject of intimacy (sexual behavior) their child may be participating …

So Clorox is King or is it Queen?

Our mother was the queen of Clorox and we teased her about this every time we could because she even put a capful of Clorox in our bath water and I must admit I don’t remember having cold or flu too much while I was growing up therefore it makes me wonder if we should use more of those old time natural remedies because they are  better then the junk they sell from the pharmaceuticals companies who keep on getting richer and …

Smelling the Roses

It occurred to me that sometimes with all the things we face in life you find yourself wondering if we’ll only know peace when we die, thus it becomes imperative that each of us take a moment to smell the roses and sometimes the flowers in the supermarket which I noticed don’t always have a sweet smell, is this what all the processing and greenhouse growth does to even our precious flowers.  So I’m going to suggest a smell the rose’s box which you fill with funny …

So many people have so much hurt how can we help?
I got home at 7:30 tonight and had a few minutes to visit some blogs before I started writing and I was overwhelmed with the different things I read today.  Some of the bloggers were down and out and it seemed like most of us just weren’t as strong as we usually are and I wondered is it the moon and I’m not being sarcastic as there has been plenty of information which mentions the earth and it’s gravity and …

Our trip to Lake Placid
This has been a busy and stressful year gone by  and when my husband’s brother said we could go to his condo in Lake Placid we jumped at the chance as both of us have had a lot going on during the year and to say the least getting away was essential if we were going to endeavor to renew and remove all the stress we were feeling.
Thus, I got to thinking about how fantastic I’ve felt since we returned and the amazing memories of the …
