It can take you far. I almost died after giving birth to my second son 33 years ago. Interestingly it wasn't from the birth but from a totally different problem. Being that close sure changes your view on a lot of things and I really agree with you - inner peace is important but accepting the fact that life is fleeting can be so freeing. Oh, and unlike many, I do not believe it's a morbid idea - inner peace and death that is. After all, none of us is going to get out of this life alive! Hope your Thanksgiving was really great!
