I almost died after giving birth to my second son 33 years ago. Interestingly it wasn&#039;t from the birth but from a totally different problem.  Being that close sure changes your view on a lot of things and I really agree with you - inner peace is important but accepting the fact that life is fleeting can be so freeing.  

Oh, and unlike many, I do not believe it&#039;s a morbid idea - inner peace and death that is.  After all, none of us is going to get out of this life alive!

I&#039;m so glad to hear that you&#039;re cancer free. It sure is a cruel disease, and not every one beats it. Sadly, my father couldn&#039;t beat his cancer, and he died last year :( To my relief, he is in no pain. 
We don&#039;t celebrate Thanksgiving here in Denmark, but I&#039;m still thankful for my dear family and friends. 

Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope you&#039;ll enjoy the weekend.
