Gramma says Hugs Baldwin boys…I love you….

I came across this photo today while I was reading the Huffington Post. Talk about confidence, love and respect for your family–when Alec brought his brother Billy to the Sag awards as his date, not some starlet, made my heart and mind smile as he set a great example for many of us as to what his values and feeling are and whose important in his life.  Seems like he’s learned a few lessons.

We had a family party today for one of my great grandchildren and I found myself wondering why you wouldn’t want to take time to be with family.  Yes it can be management intense and it takes away from your personal time, however, I’ve always found that the feelings you get back from being there are way beyond being alone having no one to call yours– whether it’s family or friends who are an important part of your life.

Thus in order to receive remember you have to give.  Therefore, the picture of Alec and Billy told me he’s got it right; they are friends and they are there for each other, and I hope you think about these brothers today and give someone you love a call, and suggest you get together and catch up on life (each others) be prepared to listen, and offer positive comments and if they need something and you can give it, do it.

Because that’s what you’re supposed to do—remember selfish should never be part of your vocabulary unless it’s something you’re teaching a child, not to be.

Yes! Me too! And that’s just YET ANOTHER reason – I am SO IN LOVE with Alec! And of course I was thrilled he WON.

Hey now…We had a family party this weekend too! And those are the moments I cherish THE MOST in my life.

Have you seen what the supposed idiot of the family said? It would appear that he is not an idiot at all! Well, I am sure some would insist that what Stephen said was pure idiocy, but I would not.

If you haven’t see anything about it, I just read a quote attributed to him that said something about if a machine gun was pointed at his daughter, with a demand that she deny the existence of Jesus, and she asked him what she should do, he would ask her to remember what he had taught her. Then, after she turned to the one with the machine gun and told him that Jesus Christ absolutely exists, he would see her in Heaven. WOW!!!

Family should be number one! I’m not sure why people don’t take the time to be with family, especially their kids. A lot of guys work all week then go golfing on the weekends with their buddies. I don’t get it??

Nice post! And nice to see you back. Happy New Year!

You made my day too with this photo and story, Dorothy. It is heart-warming to see a family come together again, and that is not always easy, especially in Hollywood. Good post!

Family is what it’s all about. The Baldwin guys did set a good example with that!
We had a big birthday party for my son-in-law on Sunday night. We had 20 people in this small house but it was wonderful!
    Thanks for posting this.
