Oprah and Simon he admitted he’d suffered from depression
Most of us have times when we feel down and out and I found it refreshing that Simon Cowell acknowledged he suffered from depression from time to time and had also lost everything financially at age 30, had to move in with his parents and started over.  It was inspirational that he didn’t give up and became more successful then he could imagine coming from such a low point in his life didn’t mean he couldn’t make it all over again, …

We’re on vacation for the week, staying in the Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid, New York, the weather is wonderful and the facilities are magnificent equating to a very peaceful and satisfied experience and already I’m wondering how three full nights and days have already passed.  It seems as though time is merciless as to how quickly it goes by and I’m feeling anxiety as I realize I’ll return to the real world all too soon filled with pressure and retiring peace as we go back to our normal everyday …

My daughter and my nose hairs…

I was picking up my grandson Noah for an overnight today, I’d had a really busy week (that’s why no posts) however, I knew if I got Noah I’d have a wonderful grandma, grandson night so he was worth the effort.  We met at a store as my daughter lives almost an hour away and we try to meet somewhere in the middle to give us each a little edge on the driving.  I gave her a kiss and she stared a little …

Poor Sandra Bullock, can we ever believe anyone when they say I love you?

Alright maybe today isn’t the day I should write this post, as I’m irritated with people in general and then it diminishes my good judgment so that I don’t say what an idiot Jesse is and I hope he has diarrhea for the rest of his life, now that wasn’t so nice however, I must say it felt good to wish Jesse James what he deserves the creep.  See what I mean I can’t think of …

After reading about the settlement that Oprah was able to work out with her former employee I wondered how she ever desires to enter the public arena again, and I don’t mean because she should be embarrassed, I wonder why she doesn’t hate everyone as it seems someone always wants to take a piece of her no matter what she does. Was it always this way some reporter or journalist  looking for a picture, or able to verify a rumor, in order to claim their way to fame breaking the …

Hooray for Disney and agent Oso
Finally I watched a television show with my grandson Noah this morning and it had some substance, they were teaching our children good habits, instead of other programs which I’ve watched that (in my opinion) instruct them how to be disrespectful children with no fear of right or wrong.
I recall watching a Discovery program which challenged adults to conserve energy and then had a catchy phrase which said you can do 3% less and I couldn’t tell you why however, it stuck in my brain …

I received this in an email and had to pass it along:
To realize
The value of a sister/brother
Ask someone
Who doesn’t have one.
To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.
To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.
To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.
To realize The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.
To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
Who has given birth to
A premature baby….
To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize
The value of …

Women and their friends
Watching the movie The Women with Meg Ryan was a pleasure as the innocence in the part that Meg Ryan played was refreshing as she encountered her husband wanting a divorce while she thought they had a wonderful marriage. There was friendship, betrayal and in the end forgiveness, and the everlasting alliance that will often have to endure the storms in order to survive the old saying “friends for life”. A new expression “keep it in the vault” became a future phrase for me as I …

Women and Intimacy with their partners
Describing intimacy versus sex is a sensitive subject for men and women not because anyone’s embarrassed, women understand it and secretly regret they don’t have it in their marriage or relationship, men think it’s sex want it all the time, and fail to realize both are a necessary in order to satisfy their partners. Therefore, to help both sexes recognize the difference between getting laid and having an intimate encounter made me decide to share some thoughts I had regarding this subject.
Intimacy is having …

I watch television with a heavy heart as the news is covering what might be the discovery of the body of the young girl who went missing while innocently jogging near her home in San Diego. I was heartsick this morning when I watched her devastated parents and my heart aches for them. Losing a child to illness or an accident is unthinkable, the pain is unimaginable. Losing a child to violence in this way is beyond comprehension. I feel puzzled, sad and downright angry …
