I hope you’ll read our guest post from Dannielle Miller regarding our teens today and their self esteem…..If we band together perhaps we can help our kids, get stronger regarding what’s important and what is not.  Listening to teens today, thinking they need plastic surgery to correct a nose flaw is not one of my priorities, what’s in their hearts and minds is.  
Arming our kids with information regarding things they should be aware of drinking, driving, sex, and sexually transmitted diseases are a priority.

Hip high schoolers of the 1960s knew 8-track cartridges as an essential part of life. What we didn’t know, and probably didn’t care, was they were invented by William Powell Lear, who also invented the Learjet. The Learjet was of higher quality than our eight-tracks were, but at the peak of the craze, I had about 300 of them (tapes, not jets).It occurred to me during my second interstate household move that I simply couldn’t save them any longer. The best thing I ever did for myself was purchase the Lucinda Basset tapes on anxiety and depression recovery. It sounds petty and they were expensive, but they have changed my life. I still take medication regularly and I am thankful for it, but the tools I have learned from the tapes have made the days that used to be bad better by teaching me skills. I describe it like this… picture yourself in a pit where you are smothered and surrounded by darkness. In my case, anxiety causes me …

This is a very special post which I requested from a friend who experienced being drugged while innocently being out with friends in a local bar. Anyone who thinks this cannot happen to them is sadly mistaken.. I thank my friend for sharing her story with the hopes that she can spare someone else from learning this can happen to them.
