Interesting! It definitely seems worth checking out.

Guys need friends too. Sure they need the "Buddy, buddy" type of friend who they can drink a beer with and watch a game. But they also need real friendships where they can express themselves. That's a huge problem with guys. They isolate themselves so much that they only have their spouses or partners to talk with. They need to get more perspective, and maybe some of the cheating and other shenanigans that go on, would cease!

On a personal note, I have a bunch of great women friends who I cherish as much as any of my male friends. And the best part, my wife is totally cool about it because she knows they are not a threat to her at all, but actually help me understand the psyche of a woman.

I guess your post got me thinking! Thanks!

Oh I absolutely loved this movie. I actually watched it with my sister, mom, and my daughter...so we had a bit of a 'Women' audience. I also watched the original version afterward to see what the differences were. The bottom lines and the ability of each chosen actress was superb.

This is a very intuitive and brave post, I think, and spot-on in my opinion. Intimacy is so important, and sexuality is such a part of this. I think it can become a never-ending cycle, when a woman doesn't feel close to her partner and so doesn't feel like having sex. Opening up the communication on this can solve so many issues.

So many people feel that those two ideas are the same thing! Intimacy is more a, <i>"getting to know you,"</i> type of activity and many guys find that intimidating. Because of this confusion (purposely or not) they insist that they have that "I" word in their relationship and it is hard to get past the blank in a relationship that is caused by the lack of understanding.
